An existing outbuilding has been transformed into a quietly refined annexe, providing independent, comfortable living for an elderly family member. Full-height aluminium-framed glazing opens the interior to views of surrounding mature trees and landscape beyond, creating a calm, contemplative environment.

Externally, dark timber cladding references the natural setting. The dark-framed glazing frames carefully composed vistas, while the internal layout supports autonomy and everyday life. The annexe sits lightly within a Green Belt context, balancing subtle architectural presence, material tactility, and a clear sense of belonging to its landscape.
