Archers Oak
This project transforms a former ancillary building into a standalone family home, carefully designed to respect its immediate context and minimise visual impact from both the neighbouring house and the private drive. The stepped gable forms and pitched roofs reflect the local vernacular, while dormers and a double-height entrance porch add light, volume, and architectural interest.
Internally, an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining space forms the heart of the home, complemented by a generous master bedroom with ensuite, two additional bedrooms, and flexible storage at first floor. The exterior palette of white render, dark roof tiles, and dark aluminium fenestration is accented with timber, creating a warm, tactile finish that balances contemporary detailing with sensitivity to its surroundings.
